Police Officer 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 84 Chester St, Chester, NH 03036 The Chester Police Department is seeking motivated, hardworking applicants of exceptional character for the position of full-time police officer. Our new team member must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. When joining our team, the candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, writing skills, common sense and the desire to serve. Lateral transfers are encouraged to apply and will be recognized with additional paid time off and compensation. Must have the ability to meet current requirements set forth by the Police Standards and Training Council for the State of NH (NHPSTC). Preference will be afforded to those candidates already certified by NHPSTC or whose out-of-state police certification would be recognized by NHPSTC. Applicants, depending on experience / certification, may be required to pass a written exam, physical agility test, oral board interviews, psychological testing, extensive background investigation and medical examination. Current base pay ranges from $57,367.00 to $83,180.00 depending upon experience / certifications. Review of applicants will be continuous, and the process will remain open until our new team member is found.
