NH police certification or the ability to become certified is required along with a valid motor vehicle license. This position includes working regular patrol, handling community relations, and investigating cases. The Town of Plainfield is comprised of over 52 square miles, with a population just under 2500 people. Benefits:

Competitive salary – Plainfield Offers can earn between $70,000-$90,000/year, (commensurate with experience), New Hampshire Retirement System, excellent, fully-paid, medical insurance coverage, annual leave time, holiday pay, on-call pay with minimum of 3 hour call out. If available for on-call, the officer must live within 30 minutes of the town line. On-call officers are supplied with a take home 2023 police cruiser. We provide updated firearms and tasers to all officers. The selection process may include a background questionnaire/application, written exam, psychological and agility testing, a polygraph and medical examination, and an extensive background investigation.
