Our client, a prestigious, nationwide, law firm dedicated toproviding legal services to financial institutions, has animmediate need for an experienced Supervising Attorney, to jointheir winning team. Our candidate of choice will be responsible for managing theattorneys and employees of the Alabama Division of the firm, whoseprimary clients are mortgage lenders and servicers, banks, andother mortgage investors throughout the region. Supervisory dutiesinclude the compliance with FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, andloan servicer/investor guidelines. You will be responsible for thedevelopment, forecasting and managing of the department annualP&L and manage and direct a team of Attorneys, Managers,Supervisors, and legal professionals providing both legal andoperational oversight as required with daily business operationsfor the judicial foreclosure process for the State of Alabama. Thisperson will utilize expert legal knowledge and experience asnecessary to manage the litigation process on behalf of NationalLending Institutions with an emphasis on mortgage foreclosures andthe defense of clients in complex civil litigation cases, includingthe analysis and preparation of case management strategy, themitigation of client exposure, and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Must attend mediations, trials, and hearings, and other duties asassigned Must be accountable for legal, risk mitigation and cost controlwhile remaining compliant with the Consumer Financial ProtectionBureau (CFPB) and the Office of Comptroller of the Currency(OCC) Must collaborate with executive manage, senior leadership, and teammembers throughout the firm, including Bankruptcy, Litigation,Title, REO, Human Resources, Accounting, and IT Departments, toensure operational and legal compliance Must manage Attorneys and Paralegals Must develop departmental policies, procedures and goals. Must be willing and able to travel on an as needed basis Must be able to work well with all members of the group Must be willing and able to write articles and make presentationsto clients, trade associations Must be willing and able to participate in marketing initiatives /business development Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases Assist with other duties and special projects as needed

KEY REQUIREMENTS

JD from accredited law school Licensed in AL Minimum of eight years of litigation/courtroom experience anddefault management (foreclosure, title, bankruptcy, evictions andREO) Member of the state Bar while maintaining all necessary licensingand continuing legal education requirements Subject matter expert in their field Experience managing employees and P&L responsibility Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited toWord, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet. Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Must provide excellent customer service to internal and externalcustomers Identifies and solves issues in a timely manner. Must be a team player and willing to help others in theirdepartment whenever necessary. Must be extremely organized and be able to multi-task. Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, timemanagement and attendance. Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs tobe done and takes action. Demonstrates commitment to Firm’s vision, mission, and corevalues. Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace andcapable of multi-tasking.
