Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our Attorney team. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a critical role in representing our clients and ensuring the successful recovery of outstanding debts. The Associate Attorney should have experience and/or exposure with Trials, Pre-Trials, Mediations, Depositions, and Post-Judgment Recovery. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of debtor and creditor rights, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to handle complex litigation cases in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Represent clients in debt collection and subrogation matters, including negotiating settlements and pursuing legal remediesConduct legal research and analysis to support debt collection effortsDraft and review legal documents, including demand letters, complaints, and settlement agreementsHandle all aspects of litigation, from case initiation to trial preparationManage a caseload of debt collection and subrogation cases, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are regularly informed of case progressCollaborate with external parties, such as opposing counsel, judges, and court personnel, to resolve legal disputesStay up-to-date with changes in debt collection laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide clients with accurate advice and guidance
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Florida state bar and good standingMinimum of one (1) year of experience in debt collection and subrogation.
Valid Florida Driver’s LicenseStrong knowledge of debtor and creditor rights, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
Proven experience handling debt collection and subrogation litigation from start to finish.
Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong analytical skills.
Work Environment This position is a full-time in-house position working Monday through Friday, 8a-5pm. at our firm in Cocoa, FL. The work environment is fun, friendly and positive with a diverse pool of employees. This is not a remote position, but does have potential for travel, mostly same day in company owned vehicle.
