Job Description
Description We are looking for a Collections Attorney to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role will involve handling a high volume of cases and representing financial institutions while ensuring compliance with legal regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and have a strong understanding of civil procedures. Florida Bar Association required, 2-3yrs experience. Responsibilities:
- Manage a large caseload, focusing on collections matters for financial institutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance regulations and legal standards.
- Conduct motion practices and negotiate settlements effectively.
- Represent clients in small claims cases, including bench trials.
- Prepare and review legal documents using case management and document management software.
- Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for case resolution.
- Provide updates and reports on case progress to clients and stakeholders.
- Utilize software tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Conveyancer for efficient legal documentation.
- Maintain professionalism while handling sensitive consumer and commercial collections cases.
- Stay informed on changes to civil litigation procedures and implement best practices. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in collections or civil litigation.
- Proficiency in case management software and document management tools.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and consumer protection laws.
- Strong skills in motion practice and settlement negotiations.
- Experience handling small claims cases and bench trials.
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail.
- Competence in using software like Adobe Acrobat and Conveyancer for legal tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and legal documentation.
