Palm Beach, Boca Raton, or Fort Lauderdale Overview:
A well-established Florida-based law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated associate with 3-7 years of experience to join its Litigation Practice Group. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in commercial litigation and/or business bankruptcy who are looking to work on sophisticated legal matters in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. The Litigation Practice Group handles a broad range of complex commercial disputes and bankruptcy matters for a diverse client base, including individuals, businesses, and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of commercial litigation and/or business bankruptcy cases in both state and federal courts. Conduct pre-trial preparation, discovery (including depositions), motions practice, mediations, negotiations, and trial work. Represent creditors in bankruptcy litigation and manage matters related to creditors’ rights. Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda. Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies. Provide sound legal advice to clients and work collaboratively with colleagues across practice areas.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Florida and a member in good standing of the Florida Bar. 3-7 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or business bankruptcy. Strong litigation background, including courtroom experience and case management. Excellent writing, drafting, and research skills. Strong judgment, legal acumen, and the ability to manage cases independently. Confidence, professionalism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
