Position Overview:

As a Legal Intake Specialist, you will be the first impression clients have of our firm. This pivotal role demands a customer-centric professional who excels in communication, organization, and problem-solving. You will engage with prospective clients, assess their personal injury claims, and facilitate a seamless transition into our legal process. Your contributions will directly influence the firm’s success and uphold our commitment to excellence in client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the welcoming face of our firm by serving as the initial point of contact for prospective clients via phone and email. Conduct insightful client consultations to gather comprehensive information about potential personal injury cases. Evaluate case merits through thorough screening processes, ensuring alignment with our firm’s criteria. Collect and meticulously document essential personal, medical, and accident details to prepare cases for legal assessment. Communicate with empathy and clarity, addressing prospective clients’ questions and guiding them through the legal journey. Coordinate seamlessly by scheduling consultations with our attorneys, ensuring timely follow-ups and efficient case intake. Educate clients on our firm’s processes and next steps, fostering trust and transparency. Organize and review accident reports, medical records, and other pertinent documentation to support case preparation. Proactively follow up with potential clients to encourage consultation scheduling and case progression. Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure smooth handling from intake to case opening. Maintain the highest standards of compliance with firm policies, legal ethics, and confidentiality regulations in all client interactions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1+ years in an intake or customer service role, ideally within a law firm or legal setting. Personal injury experience is a significant advantage. Understanding of personal injury law is a significant benefit but not mandatory. Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically. Strong ability to connect with clients undergoing challenging times, demonstrating genuine empathy. Proven ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain strict confidentiality. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with case management software (e.g., Lead Docket, Filevine) is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing high volumes of inquiries effectively. Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Creole, etc.) are highly desirable.
