We are currently seeking a proficient and detail-oriented Probate and Estate Planning Attorney to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and seasoned attorney licensed in Florida, with a strong background in probate and estate planning. The ideal candidate will be based in South Florida and possess the expertise to independently manage complex legal matters with minimal oversight. This position offers flexible scheduling and remote work capabilities, with the expectation of attending in-person meetings as client and case demands dictate.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle probate cases, including preparing and filing necessary court documents and managing estate administration. Advise and assist clients with estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives etc. Provide legal consultations and guidance on Florida probate laws and estate planning strategies. Collaborate with the firm’s partners on case strategy and client management. Stay current on legal trends and updates in probate and estate planning. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case status and address any questions or concerns. Track and manage deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court requirements. Conduct legal research and gather necessary information and documentation from clients, financial institutions, and other relevant sources.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar. Minimum of 3 years of experience in probate and estate planning law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously. Must reside in South Florida.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Florida-specific probate proceedings. Familiarity with estate tax planning and elder law. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
