    We are seeking a dedicated Staff Attorney to join a legal team.

The Staff Attorney will provide civil legal assistance to eligible low-income and elderly clients in key practice areas including housing, domestic violence and family law, consumer law, public benefits, elder law, immigration, education law, and civil rights. This role involves legal advocacy, client representation, community outreach, and legal education to empower vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client interviews, assess eligibility, identify legal issues, and provide legal advice, referrals, or direct representation.
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
  • Participate in community legal education events, outreach programs, and pro bono partnerships to expand access to legal services.
  • Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and statistical reports as required by program leadership.
  • Attend case acceptance meetings and maintain follow-up systems for case monitoring.
  • Participate in continuing legal education (CLE) and relevant legal trainings to stay current with Florida Bar requirements and best practices. …
  • Serve as a role model by promoting high-quality legal advocacy, ethical practice, and respectful client interaction.
  • Foster positive relationships with client groups, service providers, the press, and the private bar.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel as needed to serve rural and underserved communities.
