Job Details Position Summary:

We are seeking a litigation attorney admitted to practice inFlorida who has experience in one or more of the following areas:general liability, trucking, business litigation or constructiondefect. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of litigation,develop case strategies, and represent clients in state and federalcourts throughout Florida.

Responsibilities:

Handle caseload fromintake through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions,depositions and hearings Develop litigation strategies tailored togeneral liability, trucking, business disputes or constructiondefect matters Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs,motions and other court filings Represent clients in mediations,arbitrations and trial proceedings Communicate and collaborate withclients, insurance adjusters, experts and witnesses Negotiatesettlements and prepare settlement agreements and releases Monitorcase budgets, billing and deadlines, ensuring matters remain onschedule Coordinate with colleagues on case staffing and strategydiscussions

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accreditedlaw school Admitted and in good standing with the Florida Bar Atleast 3 years of civil defense experience Minimum of three years ofcivil litigation experience in at least one of the followingpractice areas: general liability, trucking, business litigation orconstruction defect Proven courtroom or arbitration experiencepreferred Exceptional analytical, writing and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment Strong attention to detail and organizational aptitudeProficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)and case management software Demonstrated ability to workindependently and collaborate as part of a team Interested inhearing more?
