Of Counsel Attorney Florida Women’s Law Group Jacksonville, FL 32216 Job Overview Our law firm is looking for an Of Counsel who is passionate about our firm’s mission of helping women move forward with their lives through family law matters. The Of Counsel will be responsible for conducting the firm’s potential new client consultations. The Of Counsel will blend their legal knowledge and experience with a sales mentality to complete the consultations. The Of Counsel completes consultations in collaboration with the firm’s Client Liaison will close the consultation by discussing retainer fees and contracts. Training will be provided on the firm’s policies and procedures for conducting consultations. The position is part time and consultations will be scheduled for two to three days per week. Based on experience and availability, exceptional candidates may be considered for over Duties Review potential new client intake forms in preparation for consultations Conduct consultations 2-3 days per week, primarily in person and Zoom Verify intake information and ask additional questions pertinent to legal issues during the consultation Respond to potential new client questions during the consultation Take detailed notes during consultation on major issues and recommendations. The notes will be shared with the attorney assigned to the matter once the potential new client retains the firm Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Florida Bar license and in good standing. At least 5 years of family law practice experience, including complex litigation strategy and settlement negotiation. Experience conducting legal consultations. Willingness to learn and follow firm policies and procedures – consults will be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. This role reports primarily to the firm’s Sales Manager Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred.
