We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with specific experience in insurance defense. This role involves handling a caseload of litigated matters, including conducting depositions, preparing legal pleadings, attending court hearings, and managing cases from inception through resolution or trial.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including general liability, premises liability, automobile liability, and personal injury cases. Manage a full caseload independently, while working collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff. Draft and respond to discovery, motions, pleadings, and correspondence. Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Attend mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials as necessary. Provide legal analysis and strategic recommendations to clients and insurance carriers. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case files and billing records.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license in good standing to practice law in [State]. 2-7+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation preferred. Strong knowledge of civil procedure, rules of evidence, and local court practices. Excellent writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
