Job Responsibilities:

Meet with potential clients Interview witnesses Perform legal research Visit clients in custody Attend court hearings, trials, proceedings File motions Examine the crime scene Accrue additional evidence in support of a case’s argument against the prosecution’s charges Gather expert witnesses to testify in court Work on several cases at the time Regularly updating clients about their cases Responding to the urgent needs of clients Willingness to learn and practice family law Be willing to attend community service events Keep open lines of communication with paralegal and other office staff Other duties as assigned

Must Have Qualifications:

Florida Bar licensed Board Certified Bilingual Spanish/English (strongly preferred) 2+ years of experience (preferably at the State Attorney or The Public Defender’s Office) Must have felony experience Must be a team player Must be a great communicator with clients and co-workers Work well under pressure Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Be able to travel by car across the state Be willing to be on-call on some weekends Great organizational and multitasking skills High integrity Nice to
