Full-Time with experience We are looking for an experienced family law Paralegal as this is not a training position. You must be ready to start working on cases immediately. We are a boutique Tampa Family Law firm, in need of a dependable and conscientious Family Law Paralegal to join our team and assist our clients in their cases. Our team goes above and beyond legal strategy and litigation to demonstrate extraordinary compassion and care for every client. Our firm prides itself on a work environment where everyone who comes to work here stays here, and we have very little turnover. The right candidate for this position will have a well-rounded knowledge of all paralegal duties required in a family law practice. You must have a professional appearance, be reliable, have great skills to follow up and follow through with clients and projects, have great attention to detail, and be willing to work closely with your colleagues. The ability to calendar and observe deadlines is mandatory. Teamwork is important in this position. You will be working on many cases concurrently, over long periods. We expect you to keep track of key dates, keep the right people informed, and prioritize your time so that we never miss a deadline. You also must be able to capture billable time while getting the work done in a timely fashion. You must possess strong communication and critical thinking skills as well as excellent writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy. This position will be responsible for important work including preparing documents, coordinating/interacting with clients, other attorneys and judges. This includes drafting petitions and counterpetitions; drafting motions and third-party subpoenas; prepare and discovery requests, discovery responses, mandatory disclosure, financial affidavits, equitable distribution schedules, and Child Support Guidelines; assisting with Mediation and Trial preparation, as well as other court appearances. The position requires close communication with clients, organization, and maintenance of electronic client files, and drafting correspondence to the Court and other attorneys. The ability to calendar and comply with deadlines is mandatory.
