Job Purpose The primary mission of the Legal Analyst I will be to recover funds on bad debt customer accounts through litigated and non-litigated processes. This position reports directly to the Legal Services and Risk Assistant Manager for the Order to Cash Department, with delegated duties such as training and mentoring teams to meet and exceed departmental objectives and goals. Securing Transactions is required when high risk accounts with potential cash flow issues are identified. Excellent negotiation skills and attention to details are required to maximize return with Settlements. Work closely with the Legal Services and Risk Assistant Manager, Senior Legal Analysts, outside legal counsel/attorneys, and third-party agencies to maximize returns and minimize bad debt. What you will do… Focus on implementation strategies to enhance recoveries with Payment Plans, Settlements, and other applicable agreements pertaining to Accounts Receivable, including security and protocol for at risk accounts. Provide priority and security efforts to monitor and maintain status of Payment Options with escalated risk customers. Collaborate with outside attorneys/agencies to obtain judgments, garnishments, and related remedies for customers in default of Payment Options Provide contractual language expertise relating to documents relating to Accounts Receivables and the construction industry, such as Joint Check Agreements and Sworn Statements Building Risk awareness amongst staff by providing training and mentoring Manage security and recovery portfolio relating to escalated accounts and default customers in AR. Pro-actively work on security interest for the at-risk customers as the risk arises. Requirements B.A./B.S. or Paralegal Certification Preferred 2+ Years Legal Experience and/or Law Firm Experience Preferred Bankruptcy experience preferred. Ability to multi-task Experience with Legal matters, Mediation, Negotiations, and Settlement Agreements Intermediate skills pertaining to Excel and Microsoft Word Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Skills Strong Sense of Urgency and Customer Focus Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills Experience with court systems and legal processes Req #: 63355
Pay Range:
