Position Overview Senior Litigation Attorney to lead complex business litigation matters, guide junior attorneys, and play a key role in client relationships. This position is ideal for an experienced litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving results, mentoring others, and contributing to firm-wide growth. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of business and commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, orders, discovery, and legal correspondence.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials (minimum of 5+ jury trials as first chair).
Develop legal strategies and advise clients on potential outcomes and risks.
Serve as a primary contact for clients, ensuring timely and effective communication.
Supervise and mentor junior associates and contract attorneys, ensuring high-quality work.
Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and assist with firm business development initiatives.
Participate in regular internal meetings, including semi-weekly attorney meetings and monthly case status reviews.
Contribute to the firm’s growth through marketing, writing articles, and public speaking engagements.
Maintain compliance with The Florida Bar requirements and uphold the highest ethical standards.
Daily & Weekly Duties Include:
Reviewing and prioritizing calendars, emails, and caseload tasks
Coordinating case assignments and workflows with associates and paralegals
Preparing discovery responses, legal documents, and court filings
Meeting regularly with the legal team for status updates and strategic planning
Providing updates to clients and ensuring prompt responsiveness Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
7-10 years of experience in Business Law and Commercial Litigation
Proven trial experience with 5+ jury trials as first chair
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and supervise a legal team
Excellent communication and client relations skills
