Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and driven Associate Immigration Attorney to join our growing team. This position is based in Miami, FL, and offers a hybrid remote/in-person work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law (preferably 3-5 years of experience) and be committed to providing high-quality, compassionate legal services. Experience with family-based immigration is required; business immigration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Handle client consultations and evaluate potential immigration cases Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, USCIS interviews, and bond hearings Visit clients in detention centers as needed Prepare and file applications, motions, and briefs with USCIS, EOIR, and related agencies Communicate effectively with clients, including explaining case status, preparing them for hearings/interviews, and setting expectations Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in immigration law Supervise paralegals and legal assistants in case preparation Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient case management and excellent client service Participate in case strategy meetings and firm initiatives to improve service delivery

Requirements:

J.D. from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Florida Bar membership preferred or willingness to waive in) 1-5 years of experience practicing immigration law (family-based focus preferred) Spanish fluency (written and spoken) required Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Comfortable handling a fast-paced caseload and managing client relationships Experience with case management systems such as Docketwise or MyCase is a plus Must live within commuting distance to the Miami area and be flexible to attend court hearings, client meetings, and occasional office meetings. Open to occasional travel for court hearings outside of Miami.

Preferred Qualifications:

Litigation experience (immigration court) Prior experience working with detained clients Business immigration experience (H-1B, L-1, PERM, etc.) is a bonus but not required
