Job Description
Our client is seeking a dynamic Bankruptcy Partner to join their nationally recognised Bankruptcy Practice in Miami, Florida. With one of the largest restructuring teams in the U.S. and a proven track record in high-stakes matters, this is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm that combines legal precision with practical business solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage sophisticated insolvency, restructuring, and creditors’ rights matters, including complex Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court workouts, and state insolvency cases. Provide strategic legal counsel to debtors, creditors, fiduciaries, and investors, guiding clients through complex distressed situations. Represent committees, trustees, and indenture trustees in high-profile restructuring and insolvency cases. Collaborate across practice groups to support distressed asset acquisitions and industry-specific restructurings. Mentor and develop junior attorneys within the practice group. Contribute to the continued growth of their Miami office and national platform through business development and client relationship building.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar (or eligibility to waive in). Extensive experience in bankruptcy and restructuring, including first-chair responsibility for significant matters. A portable book of business and a strong market reputation in bankruptcy law. Demonstrated experience representing any of the following: creditors’ committees, debtors, trustees, or purchasers of distressed assets. Collaborative leadership style and commitment to mentoring junior attorneys. Strong business acumen and ability to offer innovative, practical legal solutions.
