Job Summary:

As a Client Communication Attorney at GFI, your role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of our client interactions. You will be the primary legal contact for clients, ensuring that all communications are handled with professionalism, empathy, integrity, and legal acumen. This role requires a keen ability to manage complex legal issues while providing clear, understandable explanations to our clients. Your efforts will directly impact our clients’ understanding of their legal options and our ability to manage their cases effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide timely responses to team inquiries concerning legal matters arising from client interactions. Maintain communication with clients to inform and update them on case progress and legal strategies. Collaborate with team members to strategize and coordinate legal cases effectively. Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes that may affect immigration law and ensure these updates are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders. Update the FAQ to reflect the latest regulatory changes and case handling procedures, ensuring the customer service team is equipped to handle potential client questions. Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions, and agency rulings. Stay updated on legislative changes that may affect immigration law. Formulate solutions to complex legal questions. Perform other job duties as assigned to support our mission.

Requirements and Skills:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited law school. Active Bar license in good standing in any U.S. state. 2-5 years of attorney experience in general immigration, with specific expertise in family and humanitarian-based petitions. Fluency in Spanish is required due to frequent client interactions. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Flexibility and adaptability with work schedules. Strong communication skills and proficiency in reading and writing in both English and Spanish. Exceptional computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
