Salary:

The ideal candidate will havestrong legal knowledge, excellent client communication skills, anda passion for advocating on behalf of associations. This role willinvolve advising, representing, and providing legal services tocondominium and homeowner associations in a variety of legalmatters, including collections, enforcement of rules, governingdocuments, and litigation. Provide comprehensive legal advice andrepresentation to condominium and homeowners associations (HOAs) onmatters including but not limited to:
- Drafting, interpreting, andenforcing governing documents (declarations, bylaws, rules, andregulations)
- Covenant enforcement and dispute resolution
- Collections of delinquent assessments and dues
- Reviewing andnegotiating vendor contracts
- Overseeing board member elections andcompliance with statutory requirements Prepare and review legaldocuments, including amendments to governing documents and legalopinions.
Represent associations in litigation, arbitration, andmediation. Stay informed on recent developments in Floridacondominium and association law and provide clients with timelyupdates on relevant legal changes. Work closely with associationboards to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, includingthe Florida Condominium Act and Homeowners’ Association Act.
Provide guidance on construction defects, developer turnover, andinsurance issues. Attend association meetings, including boardmeetings, annual meetings, and membership meetings, to advise onlegal matters. Manage a caseload with a high degree of independenceand maintain organized case files.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor(J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active member in goodstanding with the Florida Bar. 3 years of experience in condominiumand homeowners association law. Strong knowledge of Floridacondominium and homeowners association statutes. Proven ability tohandle multiple complex legal matters and provide clear, practicallegal advice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in litigation, mediation, or arbitration involvingassociations is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skillsand the ability to work both independently and in a team-orientedenvironment. Strong attention to detail and client-focusedapproach. Interested in hearing more?
