Employment Attorney Position Available In Miami-Dade, Florida

Job Description:

Employment Attorney Position FairLaw Firm is hiring an associate attorney for an in-officeposition to handle a variety of employment litigation cases (andsome non-litigation issues). The ideal candidate will haveexperience litigating cases in Florida state and federal courts,preferably involving employment law issues. Typical cases involvewage claims under Florida and federal law, discrimination andretaliation claims, and restrictive covenants, to name a few.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with new and existing clients;
• Arguing at court hearings;
• Negotiating potential case settlements at mediations andsettlement conferences;
• Legal research and factual analysis to develop case strategiesand arguments;
• Assessing potential case outcomes;
• Conducting depositions, witness interviews, and clientconsultations;
• Advising and counseling clients; The ideal attorney will be willing to learn, work hard, work wellwith others, and be able to adapt to new challenges.

Qualifications:

• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• At least one year working as an attorney in a law firm
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet alldeadlines
• Proficient with Mac computers, MS Word/Excel, Adobe, Slack, andZoom
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) helpful
