Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Immigration Attorney in Florida to join our EOIR Removal Defense team. Our ideal candidate has a strong interest in immigration law and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities:

Represent clients in Removal Defense (EOIR). Develop and implement preliminary case strategy after assessing clients relief availability. Identify potential additional relief including family based petitions, U-Visas, VAWA, TPS, TVPRA Expert management of a caseload of Affirmative Asylum and EOIR Removal Proceeding cases including but not limited to defensive asylum cases and TVPRA cases. Review and approve all petitions, motions and other filings prior to submission with court or other immigration agencies. Draft and file case forms, motions and briefs. Prepare for and represent clients at Master Hearings, Individual Hearings and other contested hearings in-person and virtually as required. Prepare clients/witnesses to court hearings, declaration and trial preparation. Ensure all case deadlines are met and cases are resolved in a timely manner Expertly lead a support team of paralegals and legal assistants, being the attorney responsible for answering legal questions accurately and providing legal analysis to resolve cases appropriately. Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals and other attorneys to ensure excellent case management and excellent client service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Licensed to practice law in any U.S. State (FL Preferred) 2+ years of experience in immigration law (Removal Defense experience preferred) A minimum of 1+ year of experience practicing EOIR preferred (Master and Individual hearings). Strong research and writing skills; interpersonal skills of the highest caliber. Bilingual- Spanish speaker preferred but not required. Comfortable handling a fully electronic caseload (case management software) Demonstrates attention to detail, time management, initiative, problem solving, organization skills and willingness to learn. Ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a fast paced environment.

REMOTE:

Residence in FL is required for this role. The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 USD to $160,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
