Junior Paralegal for Immigration Law Law Offices of Juliana G. Lamardo, P.A. 2414 SW 22nd Street, Miami, FL 33145 Overview The Law Offices of Juliana G. Lamardo, P.A. provides services to families navigating through the complex immigration system. Our office handles cases of removal and deportation defense, as well as family and marriage-based residency, waivers, citizenship, naturalization, and appeals. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with immigration cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and timely. This position requires an understanding of immigration law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Our ideal candidate will be organized and detail oriented and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position is a dual role, performing receptionist duties as well providing administrative assistance within the law office. Responsibilities Answer incoming telephone calls with an inviting demeanor, determine purpose of calls, and forward/transfer calls to appropriate personnel; or take a message. Welcome on-site visitors with a friendly attitude, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate personnel. Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, calling clients, scanning, copying and filing Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications. Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information for case preparation Maintain effective communication with clients regarding case status and requirements. Collaborate with attorney and other paralegals during litigation processes as necessary. Utilize strong phone etiquette to handle client inquiries professionally. Skills
