Job Description
Our client is seeking a Labor and Employment Partner to join their Miami office, with a strong focus on litigation, particularly in wage and hour, class actions, non-compete enforcement, and general employment litigation. The firm, one of the largest and most respected Labor & Employment practices within a full-service law firm, prides themselves on long-term partnerships with their clients providing tailored training, legal guidance, and strategic advice.
Responsibilities:
Serve as lead counsel on complex employment litigation, including class and collective actions, wage and hour disputes, and restrictive covenant matters. Advise clients on a full spectrum of employment law issues, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws (Title VII, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, WARN, etc.). Provide strategic counseling related to labor relations, ERISA, employee benefits, and workplace safety. Represent clients in administrative proceedings before the EEOC, NLRB, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies. Contribute to thought leadership through client alerts, seminars, and involvement in industry publications. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across corporate, tax, and government relations practices.
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar (or eligibility for admission). Extensive experience practicing labor and employment law, with an emphasis on litigation. Demonstrated success handling wage and hour class/collective actions and non-compete litigation. Solid knowledge of ERISA, OSHA, FMLA, and other key employment statutes. Experience representing clients before state and federal courts and regulatory agencies. Strong client relationship skills with a business-minded approach to legal services. A portable book of business.
