Staff Attorney Family Law 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars West Miami, FL A well-established non-profit legal organization is seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Law Attorney to advocate for vulnerable individuals and families navigating the legal system. This is a full-time, onsite role focused on providing direct representation in matters such as custody, divorce, child support, and domestic violence. Ideal for attorneys who are passionate about access to justice and making a meaningful impact in the community.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel and direct representation in family law cases , including divorce, custody, visitation, and protective orders Handle all aspects of litigation from intake to resolution, including court appearances, motion practice, and settlement negotiations Work collaboratively with support staff, social workers, and community partners Participate in community outreach and legal clinics to educate individuals on their legal rights and resources Maintain detailed case files and reporting in compliance with grant and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar license in [State] 1-3 years of experience in family law or general civil litigation preferred Strong litigation, advocacy, and negotiation skills Deep commitment to serving underserved populations and survivors of abuse Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other) a plus
