Job Description:
The Criminal Defense Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of criminal defense matters, including trial work. The ideal candidate will bring experience, strong advocacy skills, and a passion for defending clients’ rights.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in various criminal cases.
Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, pleadings and other legal documents.
Develop defense strategies and manage all stages of litigation.
Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Handle trials, hearings, and other court appearances as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing case updates and addressing concerns.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to build strong case strategies.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Florida.
2-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
Strong knowledge of Florida criminal law and court procedures.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
Trial experience and a confident courtroom presence (preferred).
Ability to perform under pressure and make sound legal decisions.
Commitment to ethical legal practice and client advocacy.
