This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional witha strong background in 3rd and/or 1st party insurance to play apivotal role in our firm. You will be part of a team that isresponsible for representing a diverse clientele in complexinsurance matters. The Senior Associate Attorney will work directlywith partners and clients to handle caseloads from start to finish.
This is a full-time, onsite position that demands a high level ofcommitment, expertise, and professionalism. Responsibilities 1.Provide legal representation to our clients in a wide array ofinsurance defense matters. 2. Manage a significant caseload frominception to closure, including drafting pleadings, motions,discovery, and briefs. 3. Conduct and defend depositions, negotiatesettlements, and represent clients in court. 4. Develop andimplement defense strategies, communicate with clients and opposingcounsel, and prepare reports on case status. 5. Stay updated oncurrent legislation and legal processes related to insurancedefense and ensure compliance with all relevant laws andregulations. 6. Work collaboratively with team members to ensurebest outcomes for clients, while also providing mentorship tojunior attorneys. 7. Participate in business development activitiesto attract and retain clients. Qualifications 1. Juris Doctorate(JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to theFlorida state bar and in good standing. 3. A minimum of 5 years ofexperience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on 1st and3rd party insurance matters. 4. Proven track record of successfullymanaging a significant caseload from inception to closure. 5.Excellent negotiation, communication, and courtroom advocacyskills. 6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively withina team. 7. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.8. High degree of professionalism and adherence to strictconfidentiality and ethical standards. 9. Proficient in legalresearch software and Microsoft Office Suite. 10. Businessdevelopment experience with a proven track record of attracting andretaining clients is a plus.
