Do you pride yourself on being proactive and making life easier for your attorney? If so, we’re looking for you! This is a unique remote full time position for a Spanish-speaking Paralegal at The Law Firm of Anthony J. Diaz. There is growth potential for the right candidate. Salary is commensurate with experience. As a solo attorney in Central Florida, I am known as The Peacemaker and specialize in collaborative, uncontested, and out of court divorce and mediation. We are adding a bi-lingual Associate Attorney that you will also be closely working with on both litigation and out of court cases.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

5+ years Paralegal experience in Family Law and Divorce cases Paralegal Certification College degree (preferred) US resident Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of Lawmatics, Clio and Florida court systems and procedures Willingness and the ability to become proficient and use the systems already in place Tech savvy with excellent software skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent professional interpersonal and research skills Works well independently with excellent attention to detail Ability to efficiently handle and prioritize a busy workload Resourceful, proactive and highly organized Quiet working environment with reliable internet Recent professional references

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation, review and management of legal documents, including financials Be available to take calls from Smith.ai from potential clients during the business day Perform case evaluations to screen and qualify potential clients Schedule consults, mediations and court hearings for attorney Perform consults when attorney is not available or clients speak spanish Translate when needed by attorney Case review conferences with attorneys as needed Review and maintain busy calendars and stay proactive and ahead of all deadlines Use the systems already in place and make suggestions to streamline processes Document all client and lead interactions and continually update tasks for yourself and 2 attorneys throughout the day Respond to attorneys, clients and the court throughout the business day within a reasonable time frame by phone, email or text Tasks can be performed after hours when appropriate Interested candidates should submit their detailed resume, letter of interest highlighting skillset, current availability and salary requirements to .
