  • Appear at arraignments, bond hearings, pre‑trial conferences, motion hearings, pleas, and jury or bench trials on behalf of retaining counsel. Drafting
  • Prepare motions to suppress, motions to dismiss, discovery requests & responses, sentencing memoranda, appellate briefs, etc. Research
  • Deliver concise legal memoranda on statutory defenses, case assessments, and advisory opinions on sentencing exposure or evidentiary issues. Co‑Counsel
  • Negotiate with prosecutors, liaise with clients, investigators, and court personnel to advance case objectives and secure favorable outcomes.

Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active, good‑standing license with the Florida State Bar. 3+ years of criminal‑defense litigation experience, including felony and/or misdemeanor representations. Ability to manage multiple matters, hit deadlines, and work autonomously with minimal oversight. Comfortable with Microsoft 365, Zoom/Teams/Webex, and major research platforms (Westlaw or Lexis).
