The ideal candidate will independently maintain a busy caseload ranging from misdemeanors to low and mid-level felonies with minimal supervision. Additionally, the candidate will also provide support to senior attorneys on high level state and federal felony cases, with the opportunity to grow into handling high level felony cases over time.

Job duties include:
  • Independently handle caseload and supervise assigned paralegal to ensure outstanding client service
  • Maintain meticulous file notes and provide frequent updates to supervising attorneys
  • Attend District and Superior Court sessions as directed; travel to various counties required.
  • Draft and File motions for assigned cases
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an ABA accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia (Preferred experience in handling misdemeanor and felony cases in District and Superior Court)
  • Proficient in Office 365
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work with a team, as well as independently
  • Strong reading, writing, and research skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong litigation skills with experience in representing clients in court is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality legal services and maintaining ethical standards in all professional dealings.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Those with prior experience as Assistant Public Defenders or Assistant District Attorneys are encouraged to apply
