Job Description
Duties:
Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on various immigration matters, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, asylum, deportation defense, and naturalization. Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and appeals with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor (DOL), and immigration courts. Conduct legal research and stay current on changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures. Develop and implement case strategies tailored to the individual needs of clients. Communicate and update clients on their case status.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. Requires 6 months of experience or internship with a U.S. immigration law firm. Active membership in good standing with any U.S. state bar. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese to serve the firm’s Chinese clients.
