Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Probate & Estate Planning Attorney to join our reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in probate law, with a demonstrated ability to handle complex matters involving decedent’s estates, guardianships, and conservatorships. In addition, the candidate preferably will possess experience in estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, funding documents, and other related documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in all aspects of probate proceedings, including estate administration, guardianships, and conservatorships. Provide legal counsel to fiduciaries (executors, administrators, guardians, and conservators) regarding their duties and responsibilities. Handle court filings and manage client communications with professionalism and clarity. Conduct legal research and remain current on changes in Georgia probate and estate planning laws. Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure high-quality client service and case management. Engage in client development activities to grow the firm’s probate and estate planning practice.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the Georgia State Bar. Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing probate law and estate planning. In-depth knowledge of Georgia probate procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
