You willrepresent Georgia’s most comprehensive health system that cares forpatients making more than 6 million visits to Emory each year andthat encompasses 10 hospitals (and growing!), more than 490outpatient provider locations, and the largest clinicallyintegrated network in the state, with more than 3,450 physiciansconcentrating in 70 different subspecialties.

Are you ready?

TheAssociate General Counsel’s duties in support of Emory Universityand Emory Healthcare will include: Advising on a broad spectrum of business opportunities,including counseling, contract review and negotiation, andcommercial dispute resolution. Providing legal analysis and advice concerning regulatorycompliance, physician-hospital relationships, and a wide variety ofuniversity and health care operational issues. Developing new areas of sub-specialty as needs may arise. Duties also may include participation on committees as thelegal advisor.

We are looking for candidates who: Work well on a team. Have outstanding negotiation and verbal and writtencommunication skills. Display high levels of emotional intelligence, includingkindness, empathy, optimism, and self-awareness. Approach work with a commitment to excellence, intellectualcuriosity, strong work ethic, and integrity. Have excellent judgment, client counseling, multi-tasking, anddecision-making skills. Have a license to practice law in a U.S. state, and excellentacademic credentials. Preferably have a minimum of five years of legal experience inthe health care field. Previous experience with academic medical centers, physiciangroup practices, health care delivery systems, and/or in-houselegal departments is a plus. A sense of humor is also valued!

Where will I work?

Where wouldyou like to work? We have an office waiting for you in the heart ofthe university on the “quad”, where our Atlanta-area team memberscan collaborate two days a week (more or less, as needed). But, weare flexible.
