Bankruptcy Coordinator 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 400 Porsche Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354 Seeking a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Collections and Bankruptcy Coordination activities. First party collections working with a credit union, bank, or related financial institution preferred.

Pay information:

$20.57 – $25.71 per hour The listed pay information includes the minimum rate of pay to the mid-point rate of pay for the posted position The actual compensation for this position may vary based upon, but not limited to, licenses or certifications, education or equivalent work experience, market data, qualifications, relevant experience, prior work and performance history, geographic location, and business sector. Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union to live out our Mission, “To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service.” A key component of this mission is to provide outstanding service to both internal and external members, including recommending products and services to our members that will improve their financial life. This individual will be responsible for providing the best possible resolution for accounts that have filed bankruptcy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members that is in alignment with our Service Promises. Track bankruptcy activity. Update account status in system Coordinate communication with attorney of status, the courts and other relevant parties. Prepare packages for attorneys Send intent letter to close share draft (if applicable) Send intent letter on loans (chapter 7 only) Handle all referred questions from members Process all legal documents (re-affirmations, dismissals & discharges) Contact attorney for legal fees Collect legal fees when new request made for services Send out for repossession after dismissals Charge off loans Prepare weekly and monthly board reports Post all Trustee payments Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position. Stays abreast of and follows related policies, procedures, and checklists. Perform periodic audits of bankruptcy lists. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma Two or more years collections and bankruptcy experience. Credit union experience preferred Good verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy. Customer service skills. Effective organization skills. Results orientation. Attention to detail Ability to contribute to a positive team dynamic Intermediate knowledge of relevant software (Microsoft Office) and systems

Physical Job Requirements:

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of up to 20 pounds.
