Bar Leadership Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor contracts, including purchase agreements, service agreements, license agreements, and lease agreements; Manage and resolve legal disputes and investigations, including disputes with commercial parties, government investigations, labor arbitrations and litigation; Implement, monitor, and enhance ethics and compliance programs from HQ with the goal of enabling and driving compliant ethical business conduct in various compliance areas (e.g. HSE, labor, privacy laws); Act as the bridge between the SK On Global Legal & Compliance Office and SK Battery America management on legal and compliance issues, continually providing advice and guidance to the country management on relevant topics, challenges and major initiatives; Manage local outside counsel effectively; Perform legal analysis/research and recommend appropriate strategies to senior staff; and Participate in other legal/compliance projects and support other worldwide legal/compliance department priorities. Liaise with and report to HQ legal and compliance team leaders in Seoul, Korea under the overall leadership of the Head of Legal & Compliance in
Korea Minimum Qualifications:
J.D. degree (or an equivalent degree) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar 3+ years of legal experience 1+ years structuring, drafting, and negotiating contracts/agreements
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in providing legal advice at or for manufacturing companies Commercial agreements Experience leading negotiations with business partners and coordinating external legal counsels across complex and multifaceted legal issues Experience in managing compliances issues such as HSE, privacy, and labor laws Experience in providing legal advice on HR issues
