Family Partner Ninth District Opportunity- Rabun County Head Start Clayton, GA 30525 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Partner to join our team. This role is vital in providing support and guidance to families navigating challenges related to child welfare, behavioral health, and crisis situations. The Family Support Partner will work closely with families to empower them, offering resources and strategies that promote stability and well-being. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of family dynamics, and a commitment to advocating for children’s needs. Responsibilities Provide direct support to families in crisis, assisting them in navigating available resources and services. Facilitate communication between families and service providers, ensuring that the family’s voice is heard in all decision-making processes. Assist families in developing coping strategies and skills for managing stress and conflict. Conduct assessments to identify family needs and develop individualized support plans. Collaborate with social workers, behavioral health professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate care for families. Educate families about their rights within the child welfare system and provide guidance on family law matters. Maintain accurate documentation of interactions with families and progress toward goals. Experience Previous experience in crisis management or conflict management is highly desirable. Background in social work or behavioral health is preferred, with a focus on children’s services. Familiarity with child welfare systems, childcare practices, and child protective services is essential. Experience working directly with children and families in various settings is a plus. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques will be beneficial for this role.
