The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of relevantexperience and currently live in Shreveport or be willing torelocate.

Responsibilities:

Represent upstream and midstream oil &gas clients in in royalty disputes, lease terminations, surface useconflicts, etc. Draft and negotiate contracts including JOAs, PSAs,farmouts, and MSAs. Handled matters involving pipeline easements,right-of-way negotiations, and eminent domain proceedings. Maintainup-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trendsaffecting clients in the oil and gas sector, and advise clientsaccordingly. Collaborate with legal, business, and technical teamsto ensure that all legal and contractual matters are addressedefficiently and promptly.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate (JD)degree from an accredited law school. Must be licensed to practicelaw in the state of Louisiana. 5 years’ experience as an attorneyin oil and gas law – transactional and litigation work Exceptionalnegotiation, research, and communication skills. Proficiency indrafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts. Excellentanalytical skills with the ability to make sound judgments anddecision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as partof a team. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment toprofessional ethics. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and locallaws and regulations relevant to the oil and gas industry.
