Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
The Attorney Supervisor supervises and manages the workload of three staff attorneys and a paralegal. The Attorney Supervisor plans, assigns, coordinates, controls, and reviews the activities and work of the Legal Division’s Permit Section. He/she keeps the Executive Counsel and the General Counsel informed of legal issues and other matters connected with the Permits Section’s area of responsibility. The Attorney Supervisor represents the Department in more complex and important negotiations and litigation before administrative tribunals, state district and appellate courts, and federal district and appellate courts.

THIS PROMOTIONAL POSTING IS OPEN ONLY TO CURRENT, PERMANENT EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY.
This position is in the Permits section of the Legal Division within the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. This position is domiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish. There is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) for this position as follows:
Attorney Supervisor- $36.66/hourly or $2,932.80 bi-weekly
