The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in intellectual property law and be adept at navigating complex legal issues related to patents. This role requires excellent legal research and drafting skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. The will play a crucial role in protecting our clients’ innovations and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough legal research on patent law and related areas to provide informed advice to clients. Draft, review, and file patent applications, ensuring all documentation meets legal standards. Represent clients in patent disputes and litigation, providing strategic guidance throughout the process. Collaborate with inventors and engineers to understand inventions and translate technical details into legal documents. Stay updated on changes in patent law and industry trends to provide timely advice to clients. Utilize legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for case law analysis and precedent research. Assist in the development of strategies for patent portfolio management and enforcement.

Qualifications :

• Background in Biology, Chemistry, or a related life sciences field; Ph.D. strongly preferred
• 1-4 years of relevant experience at a top law firm or boutique IP firm
• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex scientific documents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly proactive, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding academic credentials from a respected law school
