Compensation:

$90,000 – $175,000

Responsibilities:

Litigate and resolve matters related to divorce and separation, covering areas such as property division, child custody, and spousal support Maintain effective communication with clients and other relevant parties involved in legal proceedings Negotiate agreements on behalf of clients, demonstrating strong client advocacy skills Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, including interim hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw and offer expert legal advice to clients Draft a variety of legal documents, such as pleadings, briefs, and the occasional appeal

Qualifications:

1 – 5+ years of experience practicing family law Membership and good standing with the Maine Bar (willing to consider the right out-of-state candidate) Strong negotiation and mediation skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities In-depth knowledge of family law regulations and procedures Significant courtroom litigation experience Client-centered approach, demonstrated through compassion, connection, and clear communication Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic legal team About Company The Maine Divorce Group is an established family law practice with an excellent reputation for caring for clients by providing high-quality, creative, and results-oriented family legal assistance in an environment of trust and respect.
