Must be a self-starter and take initiative, well organized, have the ability to multi-task, and interact well with people. Must have excellent reading and writing skills, as well as a commanding knowledge of grammar. Must have 3+ years of family law experience and be familiar with the court processes/systems in both Missouri and Kansas. The hourly requirements are Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm; however, flexibility to work late or on the weekends will sometimes be necessary. We are a small office where everyone must be a team player, and have the ability to take on additional tasks when needed. Summary As a Litigation Paralegal, you will support attorneys in managing family law cases by preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with court procedures. Your core skills in legal case management and writing will be essential in drafting pleadings and correspondence, while your premium experience in family law will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Additionally, your attention to detail and organizational skills will aid in document review and management, contributing to the overall success of our legal team in providing exceptional service to clients. Responsibilities Manage and organize legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Draft and proofread legal documents, maintaining high standards of grammar and writing. Assist attorneys in preparing for court hearings and trials. Maintain case management systems and ensure timely filing of documents. Communicate effectively with clients and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
