Job Description
Description The Licensed Attorney will be responsible for managing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly Medicare and Medicaid requirements. The role requires a detail-oriented and strategic legal professional who can navigate complex regulatory environments and assess potential risks. + Draft, review, and negotiate a range of contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements. + Ensure contractual compliance with federal and state regulations, primarily Medicare and Medicaid provisions. + Provide legal advice and guidance on healthcare compliance, regulatory issues, and risk management related to government healthcare programs. + Advise stakeholders on contract terms, identifying and mitigating legal and financial risks. + Stay informed on changes to Medicare and Medicaid programs and integrate updated compliance requirements into legal workflows. + Support internal departments with contract-related inquiries and collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, compliance, and legal teams. + Maintain organized documentation of all contractual files and amendments.
Requirements Required:
+ Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. + Active and in good standing membership in the bar association of [insert applicable state(s)]. + Proven professional experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts. + Strong knowledge and experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulations and health law compliance.
Preferred:
+ At least 3-5 years of legal experience in a healthcare, compliance, or corporate law setting. + Familiarity with Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), and HIPAA is a plus. + Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
