Our ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications. An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science or computer engineering is required. Job Requirements:
Education, Experience and Skills Required :

Undergraduate degree in electrical or computer engineering, or computer science Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school Registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office At least 3-5 years’ experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications Admitted to practice law in one or more states, and willing to become barred in North Carolina Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Physical Requirements :

Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day Bending and stooping occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
