With a collaborative team culture and a commitment to excellent client service, we are expanding our estate planning practice in the Charlotte area. We’re looking for an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our team and help lead this important area of the firm.

Position Overview:

The Estate Planning Attorney will be responsible for managing estate planning matters from start to finish, including client consultations, drafting of estate planning documents, and working with clients and families to create comprehensive plans. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and driven to make a difference in the lives of their clients.

Responsibilities:

Conduct initial and ongoing client consultations for estate planning matters. Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other related documents. Provide guidance on estate tax planning and asset protection strategies. Maintain detailed and organized client records. Stay up to date with North Carolina estate planning laws and best practices. Collaborate with real estate team when needed.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required). Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning (preferred). Strong drafting and analytical skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate, client-focused approach.
