Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention services, foster care, and mental health. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. Our values are Excellence, Innovation, Commitment, Caring and Integrity! What will you do as a Family Support Partner? As a Family Support Partner in the Wrap Around -Charlotte department, you will provide education and assistance in navigating the child-serving systems (child welfare, education, behavioral/mental health, juvenile justice, school, primary care, etc.), support the legal guardian with gaining skill sets to complete and locate referrals. A typical day as a Family Support Partner will include providing 9-12 support mentorship to legal guardians in the school, home, and community setting for 90 minutes max weekly in person or virtual building relationships with guardians in the community. As a Family Support Partner, your schedule will be non-traditional, but typically around 9 am-5 pm, excluding weekends and on-call. Mentors serve their youth in person or virtually in the community in Charlotte and surrounding. What does this position offer?

Starting Pay Range:

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a human service field and 1 year experience with the target population or Associate degree in human services field and 1 year of experience working with children/adolescents/transition youth High school diploma or GED and a minimum of five years experience working as a primary caregiver of children/adolescents/transition-age youth National certification or in the process of obtaining national certification as a Parent Support Provider Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
