New permanent role for a skilled In-House Real EstateTransactions & Leasing Counsel to manage and oversee retail leasingmatters for the real estate expansion department. This role focuseson negotiating and drafting lease agreements while supporting avariety of legal matters for a growing retail portfolio. Description TheIn-House Real Estate Transactions & Leasing Counsel will handlevaried matters: Draft, review, and negotiate retail leaseagreements, transaction documents and related legal documents.
Advise on lease-related issues, including renewals, terminations,and disputes. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders,including property managers and the finance team. Ensure compliancewith legal and regulatory requirements in all leasing activities.
Assist in managing relationships with external counsel, landlords,insurance and financing. Provide strategic legal guidance tosupport business objectives and manage risk for the organization.
Maintain accurate records of all leasing agreements and relateddocumentation. Support the legal department with ad hoc projects asneeded. Profile Asuccessful In-House Real Estate Leasing Counsel should have: AJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 5 yearsreal estate leasing/ transactions experience representing retailtenants or landlords. Strong knowledge of retail leasing and realestate law. Excellent negotiation and drafting skills for leaseagreements. Capability to manage multiple projects and deadlineseffectively. Proven ability to work both independently andcollaboratively with teams. Exceptional attention to detail andproblem-solving abilities. Strong communication and collaborationskills. Exceptional time management skills, able to work onmultiple transactions at pace.
