Hybrid Charlotte, North Carolina based role – 80% realestate store opening matters, 20% wider legal counsel. Description TheIn-House Real Estate Transactions & Leasing Counsel will handlevaried matters: Draft, review, and negotiate retail leaseagreements, transaction documents and related legal documents (80%real estate focus). Advise on lease-related issues, includingrenewals, terminations, and disputes. Collaborate closely withinternal stakeholders, including property managers and the financeteam. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements inall leasing activities. Assist in managing relationships withexternal counsel, landlords, insurance and financing. Providestrategic legal guidance to support business objectives and managerisk for the organization. Maintain accurate records of all leasingagreements and related documentation. Support the legal departmentwith ad hoc projects and wider legal counsel as needed (up to 20%of the time). Profile This In-House Real Estate LeasingCounsel requires demonstrable skills/ qualifications: A JurisDoctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 5 years realestate leasing/ transactions experience representing retail tenantsor landlords. Strong knowledge of retail leasing and real estatelaw. Excellent negotiation and drafting skills for leaseagreements. Capability to manage multiple projects and deadlineseffectively. Proven ability to work both independently andcollaboratively with teams. Exceptional attention to detail andproblem-solving abilities. Strong communication and collaborationskills. Exceptional time management skills, able to work onmultiple transactions at pace. Candidates must be based inCharlotte, North Carolina (or open to relocating to the area) andhave US work authorization now and indefinitely.
