Residential Real Estate Attorney (NC & SC Licensed)
? Charlotte, NC | In-Office
? Full-Time | $100,000-$120,000
We are seeking a 3-5 year HOA Residential Real Estate Attorney licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time, in-office role focused primarily on real estate transactions with limited litigation responsibilities. Candidates must be licensed to practice in both NC and SC—this is a requirement, not a preference.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and draft Homeowners Association (HOA) documents, including architectural guidelines and bylaws
Conduct residential real estate closings and land acquisition transactions
Perform title review for utility companies and draft access/utility easements
Handle HOA collections and foreclosure litigation
Manage HOA collections for
North Carolina:
review chains of title, account ledgers, correspondence, and legal filings
Represent HOAs and condo associations in foreclosure hearings and civil court
Provide general counsel to HOAs and condo associations, advising on state and federal law
Qualifications:
Active license to practice law in North Carolina AND South Carolina (required)
Experience in residential real estate transactions, title review, and HOA law
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
Prior litigation experience in collections/foreclosure is a plus
Excellent communication and organizational skills
