Compensation:
$65,000 – $90,000
Responsibilities:
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in criminal proceedings, hearings, trials, and plea negotiations. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies. Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and appeals. Communicate with clients to provide legal counsel. Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management. Supervise and mentor legal assistants, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and professional development.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in North Carolina. Minimum of 1-2 years of courtroom experience in criminal defense. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing support staff. Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
