Family Attorney Position Available In Wake, North Carolina

Job Description:

Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who isfiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of themost challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adeptat preparing necessary legal documents in connection withprenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony,child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience inhandling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, anddomestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record ofsuccess both in and out of court, apply now!

Responsibilities:

• Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessaryduring divorce proceedings
• Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectivelymove through the civil litigation process
• Assist clients effectively by understanding their needsanalyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a propercourse of action
• Keep client files properly organized and up to date
• Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlementagreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially inhighly stressful and emotional situations
• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree arenecessary for this position
• Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs anddefendants
• Previous criminal justice or other legal backgroundpreferred
